The online Marketing Magazine each week list the most popular adverts and media campaigns in the UK and it’s official, for week 23/03/2009 to 29/03/2009 the Foxy Bingo advert ranked number one. The new Foxy Bingo advert launched under a blaze of media hype with the prelude being the He’s Back 2009 campaign and has seen much interest both online and offline with many people trying to figure out who “he” actually was following the week long run up to the full advert launch.

To see the Foxy Bingo advert at number one was no real surprise and they were some 11% higher than the 2nd ranked advert from the Department of Health and Department of Education and Skills with the “Frank” advert.

In the Foxy Bingo advert we see the man himself emerge from what appeared to be a space ship to be greeted by a bevy beauties who then break into dance to the Lipps Inc song “Funky Town”.

Unlike many adverts on television currently the Foxy Bingo advert has steered clear of bingo balls in the advert and offers the viewer a much more up to date impression of the bingo game. This in itself could be why the Foxy Bingo advert ranked number one in the Marketing Magazine survey.

Biscuit is the media agency who produced the campaign and got the Foxy Bingo advert ranked number one with a previous position of 8 on 04/03/09. The previous Foxy Bingo advert also faired fairly well gaining position 3 on 01/10/08.
